On Monday and Tuesday, only a handful of people had stopped by, according to Jackson.
Jackson understands why people may be hesitant to come in. They hear the word "loan" and are afraid of it, she said.
But she hopes that people will still come in to fill out an application, and no one has to accept a loan if they don't want it, she said.
The center provides a place for one-on-one help where people can take advantage of staff members' assistance in filling out the applications, she said.

Ideally, everyone who filled out a survey would fill out an application for the SBA loans, Jackson said.
People don't need an appointment to come in, she said.
It's better to have filled out the loan application and not need it than to need it and not have filled it out, she said.
"I don't want [people] to sit on the opportunity or take themselves out of the process," she said.
