Embattled CEO Of Scandal-Plagued Wells Fargo Announces Resignation
Wells Fargo announced Thursday that its chief executive, Tim Sloan, is stepping down after he spent more than two years failing to convince lawmakers and regulators that the embattled bank is no longer a threat to its customers. Elizabeth Warren and other prominent Democrats pointed to the San Francisco- based bank as an example of industry-wide problems.
