Denver firefighter is terminated after arrest for investigation of insurance fraud

A probationary firefighter with the Denver Fire Department has been terminated after an arrest for investigation of insurance fraud.
Michael G. Chalchesa was arrested by Denver police on investigation of four charges of felony insurance fraud, the fire department said in a news release. Police notified fire department officials of the arrest on Thursday afternoon.
"Probationary Firefighter Chalchesa has been terminated as an employee with the Denver Fire Department effective immediately," the release said.
