Crews battling fire at Brackenridge duplex

Several people were on scene, watching the fire burn through the building. Police from Tarentum and Brackenridge as well as emergency crews from Brackenridge, Harrison, Tarentum and Frazer responded.
"I came inside, and I heard a very loud popping sound, and I thought, 'Boy that was really strange,'" she said. "About a moment later, I heard the siren from the first fire engine. As soon as they arrived, I ran out my back door."
She said huge, tall flames were shooting from the right side of the house.
"They were big flames," she said.

"Wow," he said when he heard the news.
Schons said he didn't have the owner's contact information on him, and also couldn't say if the duplex was vacant or occupied.
Delane said the duplex has a history of revolving tenants. She said a woman lives on one side of the duplex, and the other side is vacant.
"I spoke to a woman about a week ago, she said she lived there," Delane said. "I think I saw her about twice. She was pretty quiet."
