Among the seven homes identified for rehab work, one is owned by a disabled veteran unable to keep up with repairs and maintenance. Another belongs to a woman bound to a wheelchair and whose husband is in a nursing home. Two homes are owned by widows.

Seeking auditor

City staff had proposed council approve a new contract with current auditing firm George,
Reagan voiced displeasure with the firm's representative who presented the prior year's audit, saying he took exception to comments made concerning the city re-instituting the pre-drought water rates as promised utility customers.
"Maybe his presentation wasn't good, but I disagree," said Underwood of Reagan's remarks. She said it is the job of the auditing firm to present unbiased information and facts about the city's financial operations.
"It is not the job of the auditor to drop people in the fire for doing what they said they would do," Reagan said.
Council voted to instruct city staff to seek proposals from auditing firms and come back with recommendations.

--Approved a request to abandon and vacate
