In addition to bills that would stabilize states' insurance marketplaces and crack down on junk plans, H.R. 987 includes the following three bills that
- H.R.965, the CREATES Act, which would allow more affordable generics to enter the market, and provide peace of mind for families struggling to afford their healthcare.
- H.R. 938, the Bringing Low-cost Options and Competition while Keeping Incentives for New Generics (BLOCKING) Act of 2019, which is a bipartisan solution to remove a current 180-day block on bringing generic prescription drugs to the market.
- H.R. 1499, the Protecting Consumer Access to Generic Drugs Act of 2019, which would end the unfair practice of brand name drug companies pay to keep more affordable options off the market, commonly known as pay for delay.
