Carroll County asking businesses, residents affected by tornado to report details to Emergency Management
Residents and businesses are encouraged to contact the Emergency Management office with information on the type and extent of experienced loss resulting from this weather event, including losses in business revenue and damage to physical property, according to a news release from the county.
Lights, pressure changes. A sound of a train rumbling. The smell of sap and smoke. Paths of cracked and fallen tree limbs.
Those who experienced the
EF-1 tornado event in
"Gathering this information is the first step in assessing the damage to determine if those affected could qualify for recovery loans. Reporting the information does not guarantee assistance, but will help the county demonstrate the need for help and begin the recovery process," according to the release.
Information necessary include the date and type of damage, an estimate of the amount of loss and information on insurance coverage, according to the release.
Those unable to submit the form electronically may contact the office at 410-386-2455 to request a form by fax or mail. Questions and requests for additional information may be directed to [email protected].
