Bombay family homeless after fire
The garage of the two-story home was heavily damaged,
"The fire extended into the kitchen and caused smoke and heat damage throughout the whole house," he said.
"It's not livable at this point; I would almost call it a loss because of the amount of damage inside.
"I don't know if it's going to be repairable or not."
The family does not have insurance, the chief said.

MELTING SIDING
When they arrived, heavy fire was showing from the garage, which is attached to the house, and the heat of the flames was melting the siding on the house next door, about 25 to 30 feet away.
That neighbor,
Firefighters stopped the blaze from damaging that residence further and then turned to the garage, where it originated, the chief said.
They then went through the front door and knocked down the flames that had spread to the kitchen.

"When they put the call out, other departments are always there to back you up. We always get great help.
"One family did lose their home, but the neighbors who are less than 30 feet away will be able to sleep (in their own house) tonight."
