The Claro Group Announces Expansion With Addition of Government Contracts Practice
HOUSTON, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- The Claro Group, LLC, a financial and management consulting firm, announces the addition of its new Government Contract Consulting Practice. The new practice specializes in helping companies address the opportunities, issues, strategies and compliance requirements associated with the complex world of Federal Government Contracting.
John Sasaki will serve as the Managing Director responsible for the new practice. Sasaki brings more than 25 years of experience consulting on a broad range of Government Contracting Consulting matters. Prior to joining The Claro Group, Sasaki led the Government Contracts practice at Huron Consulting Group and was a partner at Arthur Andersen. Joining him at The Claro Group is a team of 13 professional staff which comprises the Claro Government Contract Consulting Practice.
Sasaki and his team have extensive experience assisting government contractors with all facets of the Federal Government Contract process including proposal preparation, change order/request for equitable adjustment proposals, responding to government (Federal and State) audits and investigations (civil and criminal), as well as assisting clients and their legal counsel in the negotiation and resolution of these matters. The new team has assisted diverse clients with development and/or redesign of accounting and cost structures for proper recovery under the applicable regulations. In addition, they have assisted clients with internal compliance efforts including program design, implementation, oversight and training development and delivery.
In the past five years, Sasaki and his team have helped clients win over 10 multi-year government contacts with cumulative contract values exceeding $18 billion. The team recently assisted a major health insurer with the planning and preparation of its proposal to the Department of Defense TRICARE Management Activity for the health insurance program for active duty U.S. military personnel and their dependents. The proposal effort resulted in the contract award with an estimated value of approximately $16.6 billion to the client.
