CALGARY _ A judge is expected to sentence Darren Coupal, who pleaded guilty last year to several charges, including impaired driving causing death and hit and run. In April 2008, Linda Davey, 43, was killed while her 15-year-old disabled son was severely injured, along with Fakhria Zadran, 30, when they were struck on a sidewalk by an impaired driver. CALGARY _ Court appearance for Matthew Akani Adeniran, 25, who has been charged with forcible confinement, assault with a weapon, uttering threats, criminal harassment and possession of a weapon. EDMONTON _ Preliminary hearing for Joseph Laboucan, who is charged with first-degree murder of Ellie May Meyer, 33. Her body was found May 6, 2005 just east of Edmonton. (Provincial court)
