Conversion of the Gas Connection and Gas Connection Line for the Cooking-Baking Station Gas-Electro FZE 1598 in the Karl-Schurz-Siedlung in Frankfurt am Main. COMPANIES PERFORMING THIS WORK MUST BE IN POSSESSION OF A VALID GERMAN LICENSE/PERMIT TO UNDERTAKE GAS CONVERSION AND INSTALLATION WORK IN THE STATE OF HESSEN, GERMANY.

1. General: Installation of a manual and magnetic gas shut off valve to allow the occupants of the apartments to disconnect the gas ovens in case of emergency situation. The work content includes the rebuilding of the gas oven connection of 375 Apartments. 1.1 The contractor must employ a German/English speaking site manager responsible for the work with the respective know-how required, as well as representative skilled staff. These persons must be specified by name in writing. 1.2 Depending on construction progress, various assignments may need to be executed in differing time sequence in accordance with the customer's specifications. In order to maintain the defined time schedule, the contractor may have to consider and plan multi-shift work and possible waiting periods. The Contractor must take waiting time into his price account. 1.3 Only components and building elements with officially approved components or type-examination tested components are to be used; EC type examination certificates and official approvals are to be submitted without request. 2. Work Content: 2.1 Shutdown of the Gas System: The contractor must shut off the respective gas supply line or gas supply before commencing with work on the gas system. This involves all working steps in order to avoid any risk of explosion and air-gas mixture harmful to health in the entire building. All Contractors employee needs to have completed Plumber / Gas installation vocational training and the Contractor needs all permit from Company Mainova to work on the gas installation. 2.2 Dismantling of the old gas connection for the gas stove: The contractor must dismantle the old gas connection and dispose of this in accordance with regulations. This includes all labor and disposal costs, as well as all working steps required to gain access to the old gas connection. 2.3 Assembly of the new gas connection s for the Cooking-Baking Gas Station The new gas connection line is to be installed on the kitchen side from the all wall penetration. If this is not possible, another solution is to be found in consultation with the customer. The copper pipe is to be designed as a DIN-/DVGW copper pipe DN18, copper installation pipe pursuant to DIN EN 1057 and DVGW GW 392, protected against pitting. The press fittings are to be designed as profi-press copper gas press fittings with press indicator and gasket installed ex-works. Trimming, aligning, fastening, compression test and cleaning of lines pursuant to DVGW G 600, TRGI 2008 or TRF 1996. In addition: a brass gas ball valve Typ Kromschroeder AK 1/2", high thermal load 650 degrees Celsius/30 min. including thermal shut-off is to be installed in the line as well as a Kromschroeder VGP 15R02W6 1/2" electro-valve with thermal shut-off. The gas stove connection is via a gas socket DN15 with thermal shut-off. A sample of the installation can be viewed in Apartement Plieninger Str. 20/1-2. 2.4 Start-up and Leakage Test After installing the gas copper line and all operating and installation elements, a leakage test is to be carried out. Documentation of the leakage test is also required. The Cooking-Baking station is to be re-assembled and connected via gas hose, toggle protection chains are to be installed and fastened. Finally, a functional test of the Cooking-Gas station is to be executed. 2.5 Electrical and carpentry Work Connection of the electronic valve to the electrical system and cutting and patching of cabinets is not in contractor's responsibility. However, the contractor must work with and coordinate with the electrician and carpenters to ensure the work occurs harmoniously and that electrician have proper access to the valves for installation of the cut-off switch. 3. Execution 3.1 Working hours Working hours will be from 8:15am. to 4:30pm. and it is not allowed to schedule any work on German or U.S. Federal Holydays. The Contractor has to insure, that all work apartments in the effected Building have full gas supply by 4:30pm. and the gas ovens in all apartments work proper. The contractor must schedule all gas shut offs and all work in the buildings, at least 10 working days before in coordination with Facility Management. 3.2 Security paperwork Contractor must fill out all required security paperwork and obtain the necessary clearances from the security office before beginning and performing the work. 3.3 Rules of conduct in occupied Apartments The contractor is required to take care, that his entire employees are properly dressed for entering residential family areas. All contractors' employees are committed to meet all residents and staff with the necessary respect. The Contractor is required not to use restroom Facilities in the Apartments. Every access to the buildings and apartments from contractor's employee has to be escort from a Facilitate Management provided Escort. Any contracting or work installation questions shall be solved through the Consulate Project Manager. Installation of new gas connection copper line DN 18, a brass gas ball valve Typ Kromschroeder AK 1/2", Kromschroeder VGP 1/2" electro-valve with thermal shut-off and Gas Outlet TypeXX.
