With the option to loosened restrictions involving contact between players and agents, letting players pursue outside paid career opportunities and covering expenses for players' families to attend postseason games, will entice standout high school athletes to uproot with the knowledge that these institutions will fly their families out their on their dime or allow them to use their images outside the school's control.
I'm not going to jump out there and call it a slippery sloop, but many people believe that the school's will use the money that they generated from commercial friendly sports like football and basketball. I think a spike in tuition for regular students could possibly happen in order to help pay for the schools to compete at this level.
This shouldn't all be gloom and doom. Players deserve to be compensated for the amount of time that they put forth to play for the college. With the new off the field options for athletes, players can do commercials, autograph signings and other forms of self-marketing in order to have some extra spending money on the weekend.

Deception is the key element in the move and when push comes to shove, the Power 5 will be pushing and shoving smaller conferences out of competitive play.
