Downtown gets rejuvenated with a fresh coat of paint [Corning Observer, Calif.]

Oeguera hopes the new Downtown Beautification group, which was busy painting last Wednesday and Thursday, and continuing its cleanup efforts Saturday, can assist him in getting the site painted.
"It will be good if we can get the help," Ocegurea said.
The Downtown Beautification group has been meeting regularly for the last couple of months.
This past week saw the fruits of that planning pay off when the first building on the to-do list for a makeover,

They all echoed the thought that it was good to see the community come together like it had and were grateful for the opportunity to train and put their crew to work.
She has told them, the help given will depend on the amount of useable paint donated, how long the weather holds out, and the insurance covering the building.
On Saturday, 12 members of the community met again to continue cleaning windows and buildings.
Volunteer firemen power sprayed the buildings and sidewalks, and volunteers followed up by targeting doors and windows.
"I think it is fantastic what they're doing," said Wozny.
Some volunteers also helped with painting the trim on a couple of the downtown buildings.
"Whatever they say to do, I do," said volunteer
"I was having a cup of coffee in the coffee shop, and stuck my head out the door and the next thing I knew I was working," said

Other owners in the meantime, have also made the effort to fix up the town; sites currently housing Peggy's, Corning Florist & Gifts,
