For the past 12 years, Sweeney has volunteered with ArchCare, a not-for-profit health care network that includes seven skilled nursing facilities, a home and community-based care program, a
“I have always been involved in community service and believe strongly in giving back,” said Sweeney. “I started visiting ArchCare nursing homes many years ago. I was touched by the warm welcome the residents gave – they really appreciated our visits – and inspired by the impact we had on them.”
Over the years, Sweeney has been central to many ArchCare initiatives. One of his most rewarding projects was helping to install a computer lab at the largest nursing facility and introducing many of the older residents to computers for the first time.
