Prosecutors said Crosswhite, who pleaded guilty in June, had been working from his home under the umbrella of Allianz Life Insurance Company of
Allianz representatives characterized Crosswhite as an independent agent appointed by the company, and noted he was selling insurance products for other companies.
During the time of the scheme, prosecutors said, Crosswhite made unauthorized transactions, risky investments and used some investors' money to pay off other investors.
