McCoy's comeback, though, took a potentially disastrous turn during Tuesday's practice when he was carted off with an injury to his left Achilles tendon. McCoy was visibly upset as he departed after being injured on a play in which there appeared not to be any real contact.
"If it is what they think it is, it's just a real heartbreaker," Carroll said. "He worked so hard to get back."

"Just looking for depth and a competitive guy there to come in to that spot,'' Carroll said. "Liked the fact that he's got background and experience. We are very young in the backup guys (at tackle). ... Eric's done a lot of playing in his time so we'll see how that works out.''
