Legal & General America Builds Innovation And Transformation Center
Urbana, MD, August 14, 2015 – Legal & General America (LGA) takes the word transformation literally.
The company transformed office space in its Urbana, MD headquarters to become a place for collaboration with employees, LGA’s brokerage agency partners, and colleagues from L&G Group’s retirement, protection, and investment divisions.
LGA’s President and CEO, Gene R. Gilbertson, is encouraging employees “to use the room to invent new products, brainstorm strategies to address current challenges, and to better align our value proposition with our BGA distributors. Deeper insights on customer needs will lead us into protecting a new generation of American families.”
At the dedication held on August 13, Nicole Orders, digital media director, called the center a “launch pad into a new era of collaboration, invention, and creativity, as well as the gateway to new markets and growth for the Legal & General brand in America.”
The center has comfortable seating, monitors for video conferencing, wall graphics to spark innovation, and white boards for diagramming. Events will be hosted in the center, such as LGA’s upcoming Digital Marketing University, “Spark Tank” meetings, and AppAssist training sessions. Frank Gencarelli, senior vice president, Sales and Marketing, says “LGA’s focus is to provide the best possible customer experience, for the agencies we do business with and for our policyholders.”
