Conference program provides insights on the future of insurance, leadership tactics and day-to-day business and technology challenges
Durham, NC, June 25, 2013 – IASA is pleased to announce Chairman and CEO of The Travelers Companies, Inc., Jay Fishman, will keynote this year’s Executive EDGE Conference, which will be held at the Marriott Hartford Downtown in Hartford, Connecticut, September 29 – September 30, 2013.
Sponsored in 2013 by Ghost Draft, INSTEC, Insurity, ISCS, KeyMark, MajescoMastek, the Nolan Company, Northern Trust, Prime Advisors Inc., Princeton Financial Systems, PwC, Salient Commercial Solutions, Vertafore and Ward Group, this year’s EDGE program features a thought-provoking “One-on-One with Jay Fishman,” and an Industry Pulse Check session featuring executives from Hartford Steam Boiler, The Hartford and Ward Group, as well as Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Thomas Leonardi.
“Seven Steps to Resilience: ERM for Insurers,” a presentation by David Ingram of Willis Re, will inform and enlighten attendees about how to avoid “death by undue caution,” and later, executives from PwC will engage the audience in a discussion about what the future may hold for the insurance industry. Additionally, EDGE attendees will have the opportunity to take part in final judging for the Technology Innovation Award based on presentations by this year’s three finalists, Accident Fund, CNA and Scottsdale Insurance.
The highly-interactive EDGE program digs deep to explore topics and issues facing insurance company C-level executives who lead finance, investment, technology, and operations functions. This year EDGE attendees will circulate through a series of facilitated hot topic, discipline-specific discussion tables in “world café” executive brainstorming sessions featuring skilled moderators promoting free association and participation.
In addition to the education and networking opportunities available at the EDGE Conference, attendees will earn six (6) CPE credits, and will have the opportunity to enjoy a sponsored golf outing. Registration details for this event and further information about speakers, sponsorships and the program can be found online at www.iasa.org/EDGE.
