The Future of the Insurance Industry Is a Present Concern
AUSTIN, TX - April 27, 2015 — Three trusted organizations have come together to empower the next generation of insurance professionals with opportunities and learning resources. The National Alliance - dedicated to the mission of bringing new people to the industry - has joined with Assurex Global to become the inaugural Sustaining Partners of Gamma Iota Sigma.
According to William J. Hold, CRM, CISR, Vice President of The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research, “We are all focused on the future of our industry. Our collaborative mission with Gamma Iota Sigma and Assurex Global will assure quality, credentialed professionals in insurance and risk management.”
Meg Allwein, Executive Vice President of Gamma Iota Sigma and Senior Vice President, Chief Quality Officer of Assurex Global, explained “Nothing is more important to the mission of Gamma Iota Sigma and the industry than consistent quality mentoring for those who will be the future leaders of our industry. This alliance will help make it happen.” Gamma Iota Sigma upholds the highest standards of professionalism for its members, so those involved will be among the best and brightest.
Additional support from The National Alliance for Gamma Iota Sigma includes: University Associates CIC and CRM courses, Ethics instruction, professional development sourcing for resume writing, and interviewing skills. Additionally, The National Alliance has developed the My Career Advancement website to help those interested in the industry to match their strengths and training to positions within agencies and companies. Also in development is a Job Board to make connecting with prospective employers as easy as possible.
“The scope of insurance and risk management is changing with the new challenges of a complex world,” Hold says. “This makes directed, determined recruitment and training of the next generation more imperative than ever.”
