The 2014 Clinic for Advanced Professionals, hosted by the Society of Financial Service Professionals, will take place August 14-15 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando Airport. More information about the conference and details on registration are available at www.financialpro.org/clinic.
The primary focus of this year’s Clinic is baby boomer retirement. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in over 20 educational and professional development sessions geared toward helping boomers close the gap between retirement and reality. Topics include: asset protection techniques, baby boomer business owner/options for transitioning the business, working effectively with widows, , special needs planning, working with changing estate planning needs, and advanced Social Security planning.
There are also two panel discussions:
Lessons in Growing a Practice – for professionals who are “making it” but are ready for more clients, new markets, and generally want a “bigger slice of the pie.”
Winding Down Your Practice – hear what advisors leaving their practice look for in successors and what young advisors who are ready to move up need to know.
The Clinic has been filed for 8 insurance, legal, CFP, CPE, banking and PACE CE credits.
With boomers the largest and wealthiest generation ever to retire—and hungry for answers about how not to outlive their income—seasoned planners will discover a vast market of opportunity. Planners who are relatively new to the profession will learn how to talk with retiring boomers about their planning concerns. The Clinic also has value for attorneys and accountants, who are a vital part of the planning team.
An exhibit hall and networking reception are included in the registration fee.
