Of the roughly one dozen stores, restaurants and service providers with units in the building, three of the businesses were boarded and blocked off by yellow tape Friday, and a few others had closed or moved due to damage. Areas of the roof where fire crews had to cut were covered with blue tarp.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, said Capt.
Officials could not provide a monetary amount of how much damage the fire caused.

"The smell is so bad it irritates your whole respiratory system -- your eyes, your nose, your throat," she said.
Seldomridge added that an insurance company is scheduled to assess the building next week.
"It could be two to three weeks. It could be two to three months. We have no idea," Seldomridge said.
"We've been told it's not safe for us to go back in," he said. "We really don't know anything. We're kind of in limbo at this point."
"When a disaster happens, you're never ready for it," she said. "I just hope it doesn't hurt all the businesses in that shopping center. We've got a nice community here."
