Rep. Veasey Introduces Bill on Individual Health Insurance Mandate Exemption

WASHINGTON, Oct. 1 -- Rep. Marc Veasey, D-Texas, has introduced legislation (H.R. 6215) to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 "to exempt from the individual health insurance mandate certain low-income individuals residing in States that have not elected the Medicaid expansion under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 28. It was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
