Ranging from a low of one star to a high of five stars, the ratings are intended to help inform seniors deciding which plan to choose for the coming year.
They are based on five measures: preventive care, managing chronic conditions, member ratings, problems with the plan and handling of member appeals.
Nationally, the average this year is 4 stars.
Local plan ratings are as follows.
4.5 stars:
4 stars: Advantra, Aetna, BlueJourney and Geisinger Gold Preferred plans.
3.5 stars:
3 stars: Humana Gold Plus and HumanaChoice R5826-002 and R5826-062 plans.
