With a background in public health, he will address social health determinants by coordinating and building upon existing community programs.
"What I found a passion in is what can I do that's not clinically based that would be more focused on strategies and interventions and building capacities within communities to make them healthier," Tanumihardjo said.
Subcommittees have been developed to help address each of these areas.
"We'll be utilizing data to analyze how we want to integrate certain programs and interventions as well as try to incorporate evidence-based research into the programs," Tanumihardjo said.

"One thing I really liked about coming into this community was that I don't need to develop a program that focuses on youth mentoring. I don't need to develop a program that deals with drug dependency and assistance in this area. Those programs exist here. And really, just trying to communicate with them will improve the whole process," he said.
