The NWS latest forecast call for wind speeds of 20-25 mph and gusts upward of 30 mph.
"With that a lot variation in the forecast even a minor shift of 10 to 20 miles could put us in significant change," Hawkins said shortly after noon Thursday. "We could be getting more rain, more wind and more impact or (the storm) could shift 10 to 20 miles to the south and it could be a drizzle. We are really stressing that you have to be aware and watch what the storm is doing and please heed the advice about staying safe and being prepared."
