Charlie Schaefer has been awarded the 2015 Distinguished Citizen Award from the Idaho state Department of Parks and Recreation board. Schaefer, of Newport, Wash., has been an Idaho safe boating instructor involved in classes and outreach events for more than 25 years.
Tony Fisher has earned the status of Certified Treecare Safety Professional fromtheTree Care Industiy Association. Fisher has been working as a general manager landscape maintenance for Senske Services. As a CTSP, Fisher will coach Senske employees in safe work practices.
Spokane-based Imprezzio Inc. has been awarded a Microsoft Gold Application Development Partner distinction through its international operations in Romania, recognizing that the company has demonstrated a Microsoft Corp.-vetted high level of expertise. The company earlier obtained Silver Partner status in Microsoft's Data Platform, Cloud Platform, and Data Analytics. Worldwide, only 1 percent of Microsoft Partners have achieved Gold status.
Pam Almeida and Jessica Kovac have been recognized by Modern Woodmen of America through its Hometown Hero Program. Modern Woodmen is a member-owned fraternal benefit society that sells life insurance, annuities, and other investment products. Almeida was honored for her service as executive director of Greater Spokane County Meals on Wheels, and Kovac was honored for her service as co-founder of Blessings Under the Bridge. Almeida and Kovac also received a $100 award grant each to be donated to the charitable organization of their choices.
Scott Dahl, managing partner of Hennessey Funeral Homes & Crematoiy, has been elected to a threeyear term on the board of directors for the Washington State Funeral Directors Association. Dahl has more than 25 years of experience in the funeral business.
Kim Cooper has been selected as the Coeur d'Alene Association of Realtors' 2016 Realtor of the Year. The award is presented to members who embody the Realtor code of ethics, represent the industry through community involvement, and excel in industry performance. Cooper has been working at Select Brokers. He was president of the Coeur d'Alene Association of Realtors in 2012.
