Cunningham reported that the man was drunk and screaming at her Monday night, with the behavior continuing until she and her two children finally got to sleep between
She followed him to a neighbor's nearby residence, she reported, where he threw the phone at her, with the impact with the ground causing the battery to come out. When she picked up a home phone there, the man's mother grabbed it, and that was when the man twisted her arm.
Cunningham then drove to a nearby residence and used the phone there to call 911. When she returned, she reported, the man begged her to take him somewhere before a deputy arrived before returning to his relative's house.
A woman told law enforcement that the man had left and that Cunningham hit him and he never put his hands on her.
