Leadership class graduates

Each of the leadership sessions is designed to teach participants about the city, county and state. This education, coupled with the individual initiative, has resulted in many alumni getting more involved in local organizations, elected to public office and serving in other areas.
Leadership, which was started in 1981, has graduated more than 800 alumni. It is about empowering people to learn more about the city and county they live and work in, and gain a deeper understanding of vital issues affecting the community. The program exposes people to the community in a concise, constructed way. Each year, the class is balanced with participants from different backgrounds, and this lends itself to the success of each group.
