Being a school nurse today is so much more than putting on Band-aids and checking temperatures.
There are countless health-related barriers that affect learning for our students each and every day. Finding ways to help students overcome these barriers and reach their full potential is a daily collaborative effort. Seeing this process and the smile on a student's face in priceless.
It is for these reasons that I absolutely love being a school nurse. School nursing in the Anson ISD is the most rewarding job. It enables me to care for our most precious gifts -- our children, our future.

This year, I have incorporated my 'Health Question of the Week' bulletin board, a dental health presentation for all first-graders and Becca the Tooth Fairy's Sister presentations for students in kindergarten through second grade.
