Celebration held for Arjay Fire Station

"It's a blessing from God because so many people here need the fire protection," said
Mills credited the new BCVFD board of directors for reopening the station.
"The fire department is vital to everybody. It needs to be throughout

"I'm glad that the station is open and helping everybody within a five mile radius of this station out on their insurance," said Wilson. "The only thing we are really lacking at this point and time is members that can jump down here and get this truck out when I'm working."

"Our goal is to gradually move toward all other stations and get them open," said Amburgy.
Amburgy said those who want to volunteer would need to go to the captain of the station in their community. He then said the company of that station would discuss who wants to volunteer, sign off and bring it before the fire department as a whole. Then proper paperwork would have to be filed.
"It's easy to volunteer," said Amburgy. "We need volunteers."
Amburgy said the department is still financially strapped but are continuing to negotiate a contract with the
