The 2012 graduate was named Tuesday as the recipient of the 2012 Bob James Memorial Award by the Mid-American Conference Faculty Athletics Representatives.

"He had tremendous respect from our players," Lembo said. "If I had anything negative to say about Briggs, it's that some of our players looked at him on such a high pedestal like 'How can I ever be this guy?' And I can understand that. That's not Briggs' fault, that's just the way he's built."

"The thing that I'll always remember about Briggs last year was that the first few games of last season, he didn't seem quite comfortable yet," Lembo said. "But he improved dramatically over the course of the season. By the end of the year, he was making a lot of big plays for us."
In addition to his focus to academics and athletics, Orsbon was active in campus activities, community service and professional experience. He volunteered for the Crawl for Cancer, Crestview Summer Football Camp and the
