Scott lost his phone and his wallet in the fire, Eunice said, and was unable to recover them after going through the rubble.
He is currently staying with his brother, Toby; he does not have insurance.
Scott is surprised and shocked over the catastrophe, of course, but Eunice remained optimistic about his circumstances.
"So many people go through worse," she said. "Hopefully, he'll be able to rebuild.
"He's staying with family; he's got a place to live.
"It'll work out."
