"Children with special needs require special equipment that can be expensive," said Mya's mother, Jenel. "CMN Hospitals helps families who may not have the means to purchase the equipment."
Eloya Gilbertson -- Eloya loves to sing and dance, and her infectious joy belies the challenges she and her family faced because her intestines and part of her stomach were outside of her body when she was born. She was so small that surgery to repair the defect proved difficult, resulting in a long recovery.

Recently diagnosed with epilepsy, the 3-year-old Eloya loves learning and is eager to start school soon.
Tannek Gilbertson -- Eloya's 2-year-old brother shares his sister's love of dancing. Tannek also was born with his intestines outside of his body. Surgery days after birth corrected the problem, but it took a long time for him to learn to eat. His parents had to deal with vomiting and intestinal blockages requiring surgery.
Digestive problems are a way of life for Tannek, but he is thriving and happy.
"His giggle will make your day," Felicity said.
At age 2 1/2 , the son of
"Giving Kody shots at such a young age was so difficult and getting him to eat at specific mealtimes was a constant chore," Kristin said.
CMN Hospitals provided meal vouchers when Kody was in the NICU and helped cover the cost of diabetic supplies and expenses, she said.
