COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ State Auto Financial Corp. (STFC) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $8.7 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Columbus, Ohio-based company said it had profit of 21 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for investment gains, came to 4 cents per share.
The insurance holding company posted revenue of $355.7 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $339.9 million.
State Auto Financial shares have dropped roughly 8 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has increased 7 percent in the last 12 months.
