BRIEF: Family of 4 displaced after house fire in Lubbock
Upon arrival, officials found fire venting out a window and encroaching on a tree and the neighboring house, according to a news release.
Crews extinguished the fire shortly after arrival.
The fire was confined to one bedroom, which was severely damaged. The entire home also experienced heavy smoke damage.
Firefighters were at the scene for two hours.
A family of four was renting the home and was displaced, officials said. The family did not have renters insurance, but the homeowner was covered.
"The cause of the fire was accidental and occurred when rubbing alcohol fumes contacted an open flame," according to the release.
