His expertise encompasses such matters as: rescission, allocation, aggregation, notice, follow the fortunes, security, payment of interest, set-offs, insolvency, captives, claims handling practices, claims control, special acceptances, underwriting intent, and other matters of contractual interpretation.
Abrams also litigates and arbitrates insurance coverage matters and other commercial disputes involving insurers. Most recently, he resolved a number of matters involving retrocessional business placed in the London Market. He has been admitted as pro hac vice in various U.S. federal courts.
