Memorial funds set up for Watsonville shooting victims

Rendon, 33, was killed in a shooting outside a restaurant on
Authorities have not described the motive in the shooting, but they said Rendon was the target of the attack and Zavala was struck by a stray bullet. A 26-year-old restaurant worker also was shot but survived.
Authorities said this week that
"Please do not judge him. We really need the donations,"
Zavala's family, meanwhile, is still trying to recover from their loss and plan a memorial service of its own.

"They're grieving," Jacobsen said of the Zavalas. "They're in a bad spot."
Similar to a "flash mob," or spontaneous gathering, a "cash mob" is when customers and supporters go to a business and spend money to support it.
"Let's fill those seats every single night for a week straight. Let them know that the community wants to help," Jacobsen said Thursday.
