Candidates face off in 16th Congressional District debate at Coronado High School

Both O'Rourke and Roen agreed that Snowden should face justice in the U.S. Perez did not talk about Snowden in particular and said civil liberties are guaranteed by the Constitution. O'Rourke said he supports comprehensive immigration reform and that he is co-sponsoring an initiative to help undocumented immigrants legalize their status in the U.S.
Roen said the U.S. needs to secure its border before having a debate in
Perez said that the U.S. should give immigrants a permit to work in the U.S. but that he does not agree with giving undocumented immigrants an opportunity to become citizens so they can vote and get government assistance.
The candidates also talked about the Affordable Care Act, which is commonly called "Obamacare."
O'Rourke said there is still a lot to do to make Obamacare a complete success, while Roen said the Affordable Care Act has been a complete failure.
Perez said Obamacare violates the rights of the Americans by making them buy health insurance.
"It's a giveaway for insurance companies," Perez said.
The debate, which lasted almost two hours, was hosted by We(fillintheblank), a non-partisan group of students from

"Our main mission is that even if you are not 18 and you can't vote, you can still be engaged in you political system and still be aware of the different candidates and form your own political opinion," Paul said.
