Cottage Grove: Mom in custody battle is charged after fighting cops outside school

As investigators dug deeper, they learned that Kerschbaum was more than just a friend of Sanders'. Neighbors and friends said the two were married and Kerschbaum listed the Cottage Grove address on his driver's license and insurance forms.
Investigators also learned that Kerschbaum is a convicted sex offender. He reportedly kidnapped a 16-year-old girl, beat, drugged and raped her, and then forced her into prostitution, the criminal complaint said.

When they informed her she was under arrest, she struggled and ended up on the ground in a tussle with an officer.
The officer reported that Sanders reached for his gun and that her hand was firmly gripping the firearm's handle, but that she didn't get the weapon out of its holster.
