GENERAL STATEMENT OF THE PURPOSE OF THIS CONTRACT AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONTRACTOR

This PSC position provides for an Assistant Senior Aviation Advisor (ASAA) for U.
RELATIONSHIPS:
The ASAA works under the direct supervision of the SAA; however, the individual exercises wide latitude for independent action, initiating projects and executing approved new programs under general supervision. The Assistant Senior Aviation Avisor may coordinate directly with the
DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assume the duties responsibilities and oversight of the SAA in his absence when as required. 2. Assist in providing oversight and guidance to fixed wing and rotary wing operations, maintenance, and logistics to ensure aviation supports Post requirements efficiently, and safely. Interfaces with respective embassy stakeholders, to ensure their respective aviation missions are supported. 3.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is physical and sedentary in nature and involves activity at both the main and field locations. May require some physical exertion and dexterity and requires the frequent wearing of Personal Protective Equipment. The ASAA must be able to independently perform fieldwork in remote areas for extended periods without assistance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work is primarily conducted in an office or aircraft hangar with some travel to the field for meetings, conferences, activity reviews, and field inspections and or program evaluations. Field sites have been declared hazardous duty locations by the
EVALUATION CRITERIA:
Factor 1. Program Officer, Aviation (25points) Ability to interface with Embassy officers and stakeholder bureau's to assist define and clarify stakeholder current and anticipated aviation requirements, assist in allocation of current resources or identification of future resources to meet those requirements, help prioritize current requirements, and centrally manage aviation fleet to safely meet those requirements. Ability to represent post management, as directed, with other USG Departments, host nation officials or organizations, or international organizations to ensure USG goals are met.
