City passes budget; Water Park performance bond received for infrastructure project

Standridge said she had not received any new word on the start of construction of the 23-acre recreation facility.
"We've asked for an update and hopefully we'll get that shortly," she said. "That does mean there is definitely an incentive to go forward."

While the city's budget adopted Monday does not presently include any pay raises for city employees, that is still being considered, Standridge said.
"We are looking at several different scenarios," Standridge said, including the latest proposal that would give a larger percentage raise to those on the lower end of the city pay scale, and a smaller percentage to those at the top. Those talks are expected to continue in October.

A change of Code of Ordinances for use of modular or industrialized housing was proposed to make it mirror state law. Would allow for use of such housing in every area except Industrial. Council approved the change unanimously.
