Another car hit Babcock while she tended to her injured daughter in the road. She testified that her home is filled with medical equipment and that
"Nothing is the same," Babcock said.
Babcock testified she usually makes evening walks from her home down
"It was in the proper lane and as it came toward us it seemed it was attracted to the light," she said.
Babcock saw Lemieux's pickup truck plow over her daughter, who ran to avoid the truck. She said Lemieux stepped out, apologized and had to be asked five times to get into his pickup truck so he could pop it into neutral. She pushed the pickup truck off
Babcock said a "whoosh" of air is all she remembers before another car struck her.
Stepka agreed with Grand Traverse County Assistant Prosecutor
