The TigerHawks used a stingy defense to keep the Vikings off the scoreboard and scratched up a pair of touchdowns to grab a 14-0 victory in a matchup of Class 2A's No. 2 team and the Class 3A sixth-ranked Vikings.
For the night,
Mother Nature did her part to add to the wait as a severe thunderstorm pushed the kickoff back about 80 minutes. Another 90 minutes was spent waiting in the third period when lightning flashed.
The only completed pass in the first half was a 25-yard strike from
Junior
"He just happened to be the kid that got the ball on those fourth-down situations," said Lape. "He's a good kid and a hard worker, and he got the job done.
