First Title to Focus on Financial Engineering and Risk Management
Springer/Apress and Stevens jointly plan to sign five titles to the book series in 2014 -- the first of which is Practical Methods of Financial Engineering and Risk Management, written by
Forthcoming titles in the Stevens-Springer/Apress series will include topics such as derivatives pricing, hedge fund modeling, market microstructure, portfolio theory and securities law. Planned titles will also include financial applications of optimization models, high-performance computing, big data migration, data visualization and algorithmic trading strategies.
The series is designed to fill the widening gap between traditional textbooks and the real-world skills required to make an impact in today's rapidly evolving finance industry.
