The recreational burning ordinance proposes to allow fires in man-made sunken fire pits or commercially made, above-ground chimineas. The fire pits are to be no larger than 3 feet wide and 2 feet high and protected by metal, stone or concrete and screened with a quarter-inch mesh.
The fire must be 15 feet from any structure or combustible material, and the wood must be clean and dry to prevent smoke. Commercial logs are acceptable.
