Talent show of support: Program to benefit Baxter Springs tornado victims

"One reason we had to have an audition is that there were so many people who wanted to be a part of the show," Wade said. "Once word got out, we heard so many express gratitude that they could help."
The benefit variety show organized by the association will feature about 20 different performers showcasing a variety of talents. Acts include singers, comedy sketches and more.

Wade said the extra financial help is necessary after
"There are still a lot of people misplaced, who don't have homes yet or the money to build back," Wade said. "This is a relief fund that can help those who didn't have insurance."
Benefit shows also offer an opportunity for artistically talented people to volunteer in a unique way, Wade said. She said she was impressed that so many people came from so many different areas to perform.
