DaddyRabbit Band to headline Cancer Survivors celebration

From the moment of diagnosis, every cancer patient is a survivor. Survivors are people of all races and income levels; they are little boys, moms, and grandparents; they are coworkers, friends, and loved ones.
Cancer Survivors Day is a day for survivors to come together and celebrate life, as well as honor caregivers and medical professionals who are helping in the battle against cancer. It is also a day to call attention to the issues and challenges faced by cancer survivors, from choosing treatments to obtaining affordable insurance and encouraging survivor-friendly legislation.
A study provided by the West Virginia Cancer Plan estimates that approximately 1 in 12 adults in W.Va. have been diagnosed with cancer.
