Capitol Preservation Committee
The Capitol Preservation Committee reviews all proposals for renovation of the capitol, the visitor center, and the grounds to insure the historical beauty is preserved. The Committee also assures that the artistic displays are historically accurate and members oversee the reconfiguration or redecoration of committee rooms. The committee comprises 12 members, three of whom are appointed by the governor to two year terms.

Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board
The BSRB serves to protect the public from unlawful or unprofessional behavioral science practitioners who fall under the board's jurisdiction. The board comprises 11 members: two licensed psychologists, two licensed social workers, one professional counselor, one marriage family therapist, one licensed master's level psychologist, and four members from the general public. All board members are appointed by the governor and serve four year terms.

The Kansas Real Estate Appraisal Board regulates real estate appraiser's licenses, provides access to appraisers' education resources and informs appraisers of industry news. The board comprises seven members appointed by the governor to serve three year terms

The KSBVE promotes public health, welfare and safety by: ensuring licensed veterinarian staff is properly trained and performs in accordance with the Kansas Veterinary Practice Act, by ensuring facilities are up to standard and by guarding against negligent veterinary practice. The board examines persons seeking to be licensed, establishes standards for the practice of adult care home administration and requires adherence to those standards.
