"I kind of had a feeling that was my only shot to get him at first," Ramirez said. "It was just instinct. You have to take a risk on those."
In the bottom half of the inning, Ramirez got on base with a single.
"I trust everybody out of the pen," Franek said. "I wasn't too worried."
