The money will make it so the hospital will have one clinic, instead of three, where its primary care staff sees patients.

Having them all in one location is part of Tri-State's efforts to become a patient-centered medical facility, a new model being studied as a part of national health care reform, Field said.
In the model, primary care providers coordinate all of their patients' health care needs, keeping better track of what happens to patients when they see specialists or go to the hospital. The hope is the approach will lower costs and reduce unnecessary procedures.
No plans have been developed yet for what will be located in the lower story of the building.
"We have opted to leave the lower level shelled in for future needs," Field said.
The upgrade of the complex will have little effect on existing tenants and parking. Tri-State's Wound Healing Center, Tri-State's Sleep Diagnostic Services,
